Firstly, understand the flow rate in the pipeline. It is better to use the flow rate close to the common flow. It is not possible to determine the diameter of the water meter simply by the diameter of the pipeline.2.       The upstream and downstream of the water meter should be installed with the necessary straight pipe section or the equivalent of the water flow rectifier. The length of the upstream straight pipe section is not less than 10D, and the downstream straight pipe section is not less than 5D (D is the nominal diameter of the water meter). The rotation of the water flow caused by the elbow or the centrifugal pump, it is necessary to install the rectifier in front of the straight pipe section.3.       Newly installed pipelines should be cleaned of stones, muddy water and other debris in the pipeline and installed with water meters to prevent damage or malfunction of the water meters.4.       Install a filter with the same nominal diameter of the water meter in the upstream of the water meter. The filter should be taken out and cleaned frequently.
